SEATTLE — Swifties preparing for Taylor Swift’s shows in Seattle on July 22-23 should acquaint themselves with the rules for Lumen Field.

The stadium has a guide that includes information regarding prohibited items, its bag policy and forms of payment accepted.

Cashless venue

Lumen Field is a cashless venue and only accepts cards and contactless payments for concessions, retail, parking and vendors.

There are 10 cash-to-card kiosks around the venue that convert cash onto a prepaid card that can be used inside of the stadium and anywhere outside Lumen Field that accepts major credit cards. The prepaid cards can be loaded with any amount from $1 to $500 and do not have transaction fees.

Prohibited, permitted items

Lumen Field’s list of prohibited items includes battery-operated costumes or jackets, video cameras including GoPros, selfie sticks and outside beverages that are not fully sealed water bottles.

The venue permits items such as portable phone chargers, personal cameras with lenses that do not exceed 200 mm, blankets and binoculars.

Visit the Lumen Field website for a full list of items that are prohibited and a list of permitted items.

Clear bags only

Lumen Field has a clear bag policy that allows event-goers to bring in bags of specific style and size.

Small clutches, purses or wallets that do not exceed 6 inches by 4 inches are allowed and do not need to be clear.

Any bags or purses that are bigger than a small purse or wallet will need to be clear. People are allowed to bring in a clear tote-bag that does not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches in size. Clear backpacks that do not exceed 12 inches by 12 inches and have no more than two pockets are allowed at Lumen Field.

Clear one-gallon storage bags are allowed.

The clear bag policy makes an exception for medically necessary bags, including diaper bags.

On-site storage lockers

Walker’s Lockers are Lumen Field’s official on-site bag storage service. They offer storage for almost any size bag or item and have a flat fee of $10 per item checked.

Walker’s Lockers will be at the Northwest corner of Lumen Field’s North Parking Lot as well as at the southwest side near the WaMu Theater entrance. They will open two hours before the start of the event.
