Battle Ground Public Schools will host a paraprofessionals hiring event from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Center for Agriculture, Science and Environmental Education ‘A’ building, located at 11104 N.E. 149th St. in Brush Prairie.

Paraeducators work closely with teachers to provide additional support to students in the classroom and throughout the day. In recent years, school districts across Clark County and beyond have experienced an increased need for such support professionals.

In an announcement of the event Wednesday, Battle Ground recommended interested applicants should bring a resume and be prepared to participate in an interview. While past teaching experience is not required, applicants should also have a high school diploma or equivalent, an associate’s degree or have passed the Educational Testing Service’s Paraeducator Assessment Test.

No RSVP is necessary.
