Letter: Change climate of ungodliness

The climate here in the United States and around the world that has changed the most is the climate of morality and godliness.

God, our Creator, tells us in His Word, the Bible, in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, “When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people; if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

We are now living contrary to God’s commandments, legalizing abortion, homosexuality and transgenderism, which are both total ungodliness and perversion. We have turned away from God and the Bible.

God has been patient with us so far, but I believe we are headed for destruction by God. Before God flooded the whole world in Noah’s time, He said in Genesis 6:3, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred twenty years.”

The best thing we could do to help climate change is to get on our knees and ask God to forgive us for our ungodliness.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
