Vancouver police locate missing mother, children

UPDATE: Late Sunday, Vancouver police reported that Bethany Shaffer and her two children were contacted and their welfare checked.  They have been removed as missing persons and family has been notified.

Vancouver police seek the public’s help in locating three missing people.

Bethany Shaffer, 35, was last seen driving a white 2014 Mazda CX9, Washington license plate BOT7709. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said Shaffer left her home with her two children — Jesse Sutton, 10, and Rachel Sutton, 7 — while having a mental health crisis. Police do not know what any of the missing were last seen wearing.

Vancouver police ask those with information about the three to call 911.
