Clark County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Vancouver man Saturday night after he allegedly broke into a car dealership in Hazel Dell and stole multiple sets of keys.

Deputies responded at 10:22 p.m. to an alarm at 9408 N.E. Highway 99. Investigators had a drone nearby and deployed it over the dealership within three minutes of the alarm notification. The front door was shattered, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Deputies contacted a man, identified as Kevin Navarro, 21, as he was exiting the dealership. Deputies found Navarro with multiple sets of keys that belonged to the dealership, the news release states.

Navarro was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of second-degree burglary. Deputies also referred theft and vandalism charges to the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said it has responded to an increased number of burglaries on Highway 99 over the past few months. The agency has increased patrols in the area in order to prevent crime and respond to incidents in a timely manner, the news release states.
