A Camas man was killed Wednesday morning when his car left the roadway and rolled on state Highway 500 in east Clark County.

Washington State Patrol troopers responded at 1:48 a.m. to the single-vehicle crash at Highway 500 and 232nd Avenue.

Jeremy K. Deherrera, 29, was driving a Ford Focus east on the highway when he failed to negotiate the turn at 232nd Avenue. He went off the road and through heavy brush and a barn before the Ford came to rest on its top, according to a State Patrol crash memo.

Deherrera was pronounced dead at the scene, the State Patrol said.

Investigators determined speed was the cause of the crash. They said it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were involved.
