Clark County COVID-19 case, hospitalization rates rise

Two new deaths reported in latest data from Clark County Public Health

Clark County’s COVID-19 case rate and new hospitalization rate both rose this week in the latest data from Clark County Public Health. Two deaths were reported.

Public Health reported 54 new cases, for a total of 113,998 cases to date, with a seven-day rate of 15.2 new cases per 100,000, up from 13.2 the previous week. The two deaths put the total number of deaths at 1,053 to date.

The seven-day rate of new hospital admissions rose to 2.2 per 100,000 this week, up from 2.0 the previous week, according to Public Health data, which reported that 10.6 percent of hospital beds and 11.4 percent of ICU beds were occupied this week by people with or suspected of having COVID-19.
