Customers browse the offerings at BlackJack Fireworks in Hazel Dell on Wednesday, the first day that fireworks can be sold in Clark County. The business is one of many seeking to scratch revelers’ pyrotechnic itches, as the good-natured trash talking from a neighboring fireworks retailer shows. Fireworks are illegal in Vancouver, but they can be discharged in areas outside Vancouver at different times. Times and rules can be found online at clark.wa.gov/community-development/fireworks.
