KENNEWICK — Pasco police continue to search for the gunman who shot a teen outside of an apartment building Monday evening.
The 14-year-old boy was shot multiple times at the complex near 22nd Avenue and Henry Street sometime before 6:30 p.m., Sgt. Tom Groom told the Tri-City Herald.
The wounded teen managed to walk a block to a busy 20th Avenue shopping center and entered a Rite Aid store.
“Bystanders stepped in to provide immediate first aid to the victim until police and fire (crews) were able to get there,” Groom said. “(It is) likely that aid is what helped this young man recover quickly.”
Medical staff took him to a nearby hospital.
