The vandalized Clark Public Utilities electric vehicle chargers that had their cords cut, stolen and likely stripped for copper earlier this year were fixed Thursday and are now operational.

The Vancouver Police Department is investigating three incidents from late January and early February where a total of 16 cords were stolen. The Port of Vancouver and Clark Public Utilities were both hit.

In the wake of the theft, Clark Public Utilities installed additional security, such as LED lighting and video surveillance.

The charger at the Port of Vancouver is still offline while port officials look at the cost and what is needed to make it operational again.
