TACOMA — The identities of three people killed in a car crash Saturday in Puyallup have been released by the medical examiner.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that Sandra Wamba of Tacoma, 24; Jesse Mosich of Gig Harbor, 24; and Markeis Dabney of Vancouver, 27, each died from blunt-force injuries.
Puyallup police spokesperson Jason Visnaw said the car they were in hit at least one tree and flipped on its side onto a yard near the 300 block of 19th Avenue Southeast at about 5 a.m. A Puyallup resident called 911 to report the collision and that the car had caught fire in their yard. Emergency crews from Central Pierce Fire & Rescue arrived to extinguish the fire and remove the victims.
The Police Department stated on Twitter that the Metro Cities Major Collision Response Team has taken over the investigation.
