Letter: Limit development near skate park

By Jim Hutchison, CAMAS

Plans to develop near the Camas riverside skate park (“Port plans commercial hub next to skate park,” Post-Record, March 23) should be considered with extreme care.

Not mentioned in that article is that the site contains an important Washougal River boat ramp and parking area popular with both boat and bank anglers. Skateboarders and river greenway hikers also utilize the parking area. Any commercial development should be limited and not conflict with the site’s current uses.
