Prep highlights: Ridgefield baseball takes down Fort Vancouver in 2A GSHL play

Liam Ostrom went 2 for 2 with a double, triple, four RBI and scored two runs as the Ridgefield baseball team beat Fort Vancouver 16-1 in five innings on Friday.

Ridgefield goes into spring break tied for second with Hudson’s Bay in the 2A Greater St. Helens League, both are 3-1. Mark Morris leads the league at 5-0.

Deven Savella was 3 for 3 with two RBI, Brody Masterson was 2 for 3 with a double, and Parker Daniels drove in two runs.

Miles Graham hit a solo home run for Fort Vancouver in the third inning.

Stars of the day

  • Holt Williams and Jonathan Dabasinskas, Camas baseball, both hit two-run doubles in the Papermakers 11-1 non-league win over Gresham, Ore.
  • Jack Hotchkiss, Battle Ground baseball, was 2 for 4 with a two-run double and a triple in the Tigers’ 11-6 loss at Tumwater.
  • Bryce Collins, Kelso baseball, went 2 for 3 with two RBI in the Hilanders’ 6-3 win over Bonney Lake.
  • Christian Perez Martinez, Evergreen boys soccer, made four saves in goal for a clean sheet and had an assist on the Plainsmen’s last goal of the match as they won at Tumwater 4-0.
