Letter: Welcome to MAGA America

I just met Miroslava. She is about 1 year old and used to live in Kyiv until the Russian invasion convinced her parents to leave with her and her two sisters. Vlad Putin ordered her Ukrainian homeland liberated from imminent Nazification.

Incomprehensibly, Poland, which historically has not always been on the best of terms with its Ukrainian neighbors and has countless grotesque memories of Nazification, rushed to its neighbor’s aid as refugees poured across the border. Poland is the main transit point for NATO military aid to Ukraine. Poland raised its military budget 66 percent.

Not too surprisingly, Putin’s new rationale is the threat of the homosexual/transgender anti-Christian agenda of Western democracies. He photo-oped Easter Sunday services to display his fervent Christian beliefs and perhaps to offer his thoughts and prayers for the Russian heroes. However, Putin has expressed his deeply held belief that there is no such thing as Ukraine and if one unpatriotically disagrees, they disappear. It’s the law!

Meanwhile, the USA has pending laws on “wokeness,” “transphobia,” “CRT,” “white replacement,” “voter suppression,” banned books (not AR-15s) and words and much more. Welcome to MAGA America little one!
