Highway 504 to Mount St. Helens to reopen at noon today

Highway 504 to Mount St. Helens’ Johnston Ridge Observatory reopens at noon today.

The upper portion of the highway is closed each winter because the elevation and geography make it dangerous to clear.

Washington State Department of Transportation crews have spent the past couple weeks plowing snow, clearing downed trees and removing debris from ditches and culverts in hopes of minimizing springtime repairs and closures.
