Letter: No choice at all

By William Sterr, Vancouver

Joe Biden doesn’t deserve reelection because of:

  • His failure to reverse many Trump initiatives that were condemned when they went into force, like the Abraham Accords;
  • His failure to stand up to big business as it continues to gouge everyday Americans with higher prices supporting gigantic profits;
  • His failure to adequately address the Southern border and those desperate for a new life here, due to American meddling in their home countries;
  • His “no negotiations” and war-mongering propaganda across the world;
  • His support of “friendly nations’ ” misbehavior while condemning the same behavior by “enemies”;
  • His hypocritical claims to support labor while turning his back on them when corporate profits are concerned;
  • His claims to be a climate savior while advancing fossil fuel development;
  • His hypocritical support of “journalism” while our intelligence agencies infiltrate and manipulate our own corporate media and Assange rots in prison at our behest.

He knows exactly how bad he is, but we are given the perennial choice: “Don’t compare me to the Almighty, compare me to the alternative.” Again, we get to choose between the bad and the worse. That is no choice at all.
