WENATCHEE — A train struck a semi-truck early Tuesday morning at a railroad crossing near Tree Top in Wenatchee.
Fire units from Wenatchee Valley Fire arrived later to find the first train engine had struck the semi truck, according to a Wenatchee Valley Fire Department news release.
The semi-truck driver, their passenger along with the train engineer were uninjured, according to the news release. The semi-trailer and other railcars were not involved in the incident.
The truck was towed away and the train was pulled further on the railroad for a railcar inspection, according to the news release.
The crash occurred around 10:40 a.m., said spokesperson Kay McKellar. Tree Top is located near Highway 97A in Olds Station.
