Letter: Don’t be fooled by Democrats

Norm Luther (“Biden understands the threat,” Our Readers’ Views, May 11) laments that President Joe Biden should be younger and suggests Gretchen Whitmer, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker as better candidates. Whitmer given opportunity is a tyrant, Warren banking on misappropriated cultural identity, Booker his overt bigotry in Brett Kavanaugh hearings.

Luther derides Mitch McConnell’s opposition to Barack Obama, citing Romney’s plan in Massachusetts the same as the opposed Obamacare. We know Obama touted, “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan; if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” was a falsehood.

Luther further derides Republicans for not unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, stating the same was done for Trump without question. Luther should have been more concise regarding debt and deficit. The debt is cumulative of deficit spending.

Luther does not cite Biden’s accomplishments, but should have mentioned record inflation, lost energy independence, abysmal diplomacy, incompetence as commander in chief with respect to withdrawal from Afghanistan, the open border.

Mr. Luther demonstrates the adage: “It’s easier to fool people than convince them they have been.”
