Update: Vancouver police said officers in Las Vegas found Amanda Folston and her two children, Liam and Jessie Tonkin, in a hotel Thursday evening unharmed.

Vancouver detectives learned the trio was in a hotel, and Las Vegas Metro police responded immediately. Officers arrested Folston on a warrant for custodial interference, Vancouver police said Friday.

The children are to be reunited with their father, according to Vancouver police.

Investigators do not believe Folston or the children were the victims of any crimes, other than Folston’s alleged violation of a court order dictating custody of the kids, the police department said.

Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing mother and her two children. All three were last seen Oct. 7 in east Vancouver, according to a Thursday statement.

Amanda Folston, 30, is a Black woman about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and about 120 pounds. A photo of Folston was not made available by police.

Her daughter, Jessie Tonkin, 7, is mixed-race with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 4 feet tall and weighs 48 pounds. Folston’s son, Liam Tonkin, 5, is also mixed-race with brown eyes and light brown hair. He is 3 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 41 pounds. Photos of both were provided by police.

Anyone with information about Folston or the two children are asked to call 911 or contact VPD Det. James Dewey at james.dewey@cityofvancouver.us.
