Letter: Perez loses touch

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’s statement in the 2022 Voters’ Pamphlet stressed her concern that inflation was hurting her District 3 constituents. Her second concern was “party bosses and special interests failing to solve our problems.”

Then she gets elected and votes for the policies of the party bosses and special interests who want open borders, lifting the debt ceiling and sending money we don’t have to countries overseas.

Some politicians take a few years to lose touch. Marie was lost to us the first six months she was in Congress. The evidence is her votes. That’s where the truth is. It’s not in her performative public relations gambits around the district.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
