Vancouver seeks applications for FVRLibraries board

By , Columbian staff writer

The city of Vancouver announced Tuesday it’s seeking a volunteer to fill a vacancy on the FVRLibraries Board of Trustees. Applications are due Dec. 27.

The available position on the seven-member board is for a full-term appointment, which lasts seven years. Library board members oversee the FVRLibraries system, whose service area includes Clark (excluding Camas), Klickitat and Skamania counties, plus the city of Woodland in Cowlitz County. Board members are responsible for adopting the budget, encouraging community events and attending monthly board meetings.

Applicants for this vacancy must live within the Vancouver city limits and be available for a virtual interview with Vancouver city councilmembers in the near future.

For more information on how to apply, visit the city of Vancouver’s website at http://www.cityofvancouver.us/boards.
