Letter: Help community, shop local

The Federal Trade Commission is suing Amazon for blocking competition, allowing it to wield monopoly power to inflate prices, degrade quality and stifle innovation for consumers and businesses. Amazon and big box stores sell products in over-packaged portions. This gives the large retail organization control. This control forces farms to lower prices or import products from countries where labor is cheap and environmental regulation nonexistent. Help small businesses, your neighbors, shop local.
