The southbound span of the Interstate 5 Bridge will be closed for routine maintenance from 10:30 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
During the closure, crews will raise the southbound drawbridge for maintenance to help ensure the lift span is in good working order for winter. Crews will take advantage of the closure to check the barrier gates, patch potholes and maintain light fixtures.
The southbound sidewalk will be closed, but the sidewalk on the northbound span will remain open.
During the closure, southbound traffic headed to Oregon should take state Highway 14 east to the Interstate 205 Bridge.
