Letter: Support Orange for port

By Nancy Helget, Vancouver
Published: October 20, 2023, 6:00am

When Don Orange’s opponent was asked at a League of Women Voters’ debate why he was running, he responded he was running because people asked him to. Don Orange is running because of what he wants to accomplish as a port commissioner. He wants to continue the work he’s done since his first election in 2017. That work includes strengthening the port’s economic condition and working to protect our natural resources, taking climate issues into consideration when he makes decisions. He’s done a good job. Vote to reelect him and he will continue that good work.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
