Letter: U.S. needs functioning GOP

By Don Howard, Camas

We need a Republican Party to balance the Democratic Party but unfortunately not in the current form. The GOP is blatantly showing us that they disregard the truth, relish in disunity, dysfunction and chaos, and adhere to the MAGA cult. This group no longer represents America. I totally agree with Sen. John Fetterman when he says, “You all should know that America is not sending their best and brightest to Washington, D.C.”

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
