Letter: Support Orange for port

By Don Steinke, Vancouver
Published: October 24, 2023, 6:00am

Downtown and all of Vancouver will breathe healthier if we re-elect Commissioner Don Orange at the Port of Vancouver. Clean air doesn’t happen by accident. Industries don’t install and maintain pollution controls unless elected officials support the regulators.

Business is booming at the port and in Clark County. Vancouver is desirable for people and for business. Drive around town. Every nook and cranny is being filled with high-rise housing. Vancouver is desirable. Enjoy a walk along the Columbia River waterfront.

Let’s keep Vancouver healthy and a place where people want to work and live. Vote to reelect Don Orange.
