Gradually, Jacques Badolato-Birdsell has seen his role increase in the backfield at Nevada.

Saturday, the sophomore from Camas had his busiest day yet. Badolato-Birdsell scored his first collegiate touchdown in a 34-24 win over New Mexico. His 15 carries and 36 rushing yards were both career highs.

Badolato-Birdsell scored on a 2-yard run that gave Nevada a 34-10 lead with 10 minutes to play. He also had a 15-yard run, the longest of his career.

A key part of the 2019 Camas state championship team, Badolato-Birdsell has appeared in five games this season. After five total carries in his first three games, he had nine carries for 30 yards Oct. 21 in a 6-0 win over San Diego State.
