The right lane of northbound Interstate 5 near Northeast 117th Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
The closure allows the Washington State Department of Transportation traffic control crews in coordination with the Clark Regional Wastewater District to conduct catch basin repair work.
During heavy rainstorms, water can collect and pool on the roadway. Repairing the drainage system allows excessive rainwater to flow into the catch basins, preventing pooling on the freeway.
