Letter: Quit being a jerk on the road

Many of us older adults remember the Victory Gardens of World War II and the oil embargo during the 1970s when the speed limit was lowered to 55 mph. We worked together and fought together for an equitable change. Why is that not happening now? I look forward to a thoughtful response. I’d especially like to hear from those of you for your crossing double yellow lines on Lake Road because you think you can. Just an alert: some insurance companies are offering deep discounts in their rates when customers drive safely. That’d be me, so stop your crazy driving habits which imperil us all, OK? Save the planet, drive safely, quit being a jerk. Please.
