Letter: Protect farmland for the people

By Daphne Kivinen, VANCOUVER

Is there a political reason why Bi-Zi Farms is having this water controversy with the state of Washington?

Here are a few more items that also need to be addressed. I would like to know why China has been allowed to buy land in our country. It would never be allowed if I wanted to buy land in China. Also, Bill Gates, according to the news media, has bought many acres of farmland. We make sure our fish have water, but farmland in California is in want of that precious commodity.

Does our government/state plan to slowly starve our nation while the 10 or so richest people control our world? It makes a person wonder.
