East County Fire and Rescue is seeking volunteers for pro and con committees for its levy lid lift ballot proposition.
The fire district is putting a proposition on the Aug. 6 ballot asking voters to restore its levy to $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value. The agency is taking names of people interested in writing statements in support or against the proposition for the voters’ pamphlet.
