Joe Bosch of La Center has joined the advisory council for the Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities of Southwest Washington.

Mike Reardon, executive director of the agency, said “as a former educator, (Bosch) understands the support and resources families need to help care for each other as they age in place.”

“The stress in family caregiving for a parent can take a toll on families,” said Bosch. “I want to help families learn how to make it easier so they can enjoy each other for as long as they can.”

Six local Banner Bank employees have been selected to receive the Banner’s Best award. The award, the highest level of recognition within the company, celebrates Banner’s top-performing employees.

The local employees are Nick Olheiser, Ellen Fite, George Martin, Lee Hicks, Allison Kulikowski and Ashley Flath.

“Each Banner’s Best recipient exemplifies our value proposition — connected, knowledgeable, responsive — yet what truly sets them apart is how they constantly strive for a higher standard in all that they do,” said Mark Grescovich, president and CEO. Less than 5 percent of all Banner employees receive this award annually and are selected by members of executive leadership.
