The first train of Rocky Mountaineer’s 2024 season has left its Vancouver, B.C., station, heading for Banff.

The world-renowned glass-domed trains travel through Western Canada and the American Southwest, offering all-daylight journeys that showcase some of the most spectacular scenery North America has to offer.

Rocky Mountaineer’s four routes are already in motion:

  • First Passage to the West (Vancouver – Kamloops – Banff)
  • Journey Through the Clouds (Vancouver – Kamloops – Jasper)
  • Rockies to the Red Rocks (Denver – Glenwood Springs – Moab, Utah)
  • Rainforest to Gold Rush (Vancouver – Whistler – Quesnel – Jasper)

Redesigned menus on the Canadian routes provide guests a choice of meal options that are inspired by the areas the train travels through. Rocky Mountaineer works with local suppliers to offer regionally sourced ingredients.

Guests wanting to explore even more of the Canadian Rockies can combine two iconic rail trips in a Circle Journey package. Circle Journey packages range from eight to 14 nights, with up to five days onboard the train.

For the first time, Rocky Mountaineer is partnering with the Moab Music Festival to connect travelers with one of the most anticipated musical events in the Southwest.

The special edition package, Sounds in the Southwest, will run from Sept. 3-11, offering an eight-night musical travel experience.
