Letter: Thanks to Rep. McClintock

I’m writing to give my thanks to state Rep. Stephanie McClintock, R-Vancouver. I work in a school, and my job is to help students and their families with basic needs. I kept encountering so many barriers connecting young people to housing resources last year.

Frustrated with the system and current laws that don’t seem to support alternatives to youth homelessness, I reached out to every senator and representative in Southwest Washington explaining the barriers and legal limitations I faced in helping young people. Only one person replied and that was Rep. McClintock. She took the time to have coffee with me, learn about the issue and get a bill into committee.

This is exactly what your representatives should do. Thank you Rep. McClintock for advocating for homeless youth and supporting your constituents.
