YAKIMA — A young local chef will be competing in the upcoming season of “MasterChef Junior.”
Asher Niles, 8, of Yakima, is one of 16 contestants on the ninth season of Fox’s culinary competition show, hosted by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
“MasterChef Junior” airs at 8 p.m. March 4 on Fox, and on Hulu the following day, Jaycee Medina, a spokesperson for Endemol Shine USA and Fox, said in an email.
Asher Niles is the son of chef Shawn Niles, locally known as the Fat Pastor. Shawn Niles was one of 40 contestants on the eighth season of Ramsay’s cooking show “MasterChef” in 2017.
