Mentor to generations: Rev. Marva Edwards, cancer survivor and activist, counseled Black youth in Clark County

Back when she was teaching Sunday school and Black history, Rev. Marva Edwards knew that the real life lessons she was imparting to kids came through her personal example as well as the words she spoke. That’s why, when she gets to reminiscing today, her memories tend to turn to the meals she provided, the car rides she gave, the outings she chaperoned, even the fights she broke up.
