  • Friday: Trillium Lake Sno-Park

Drive 196 miles round trip for this moderate snowshoe hike on a 4.7 mile loop with 433-feet of elevation gain on a groomed path around scenic Trillium Lake. Great views of Mt. Hood. For more information, call Bruce M. at 360-425-0256.

  • Wednesday: Rainier City Park

Walk 3.5 miles a couple of times around the park into town and perhaps up the hill through a neighborhood on this easy path. For more information, call Melanie F. at 907-351-8741.

  • March 8: Lewisville Park Trail Loop in Battleground

Drive 78 miles roundtrip for this easy hike doing a figure eight of the loop just completed. The total length is 5.2 miles with 141-feet of elevation gain. Anyone wanting to do just the 2.5 miles can stop at the parking lot. This is a beautiful walk along the East Fork of the Lewis River and a forested area. There is a $3 fee for each vehicle.   • March 9: Lake Sacajawea

Walk 4 miles on flat ground on this easy hike around the whole lake or any portion for a shorter walk. This walk is designed for super seniors or people with physical limitations. For more information, contact Susan S. at 360-430-9914.

  • March 13: Cape Horn

Drive 130 miles round trip to hike more than 5 miles on the moderate/strenuous path with 1,300-1,800 feet of elevation gain. After 600-700 feet, see wonderful vistas around each bend; go a little more and it will boggle your mind. For more information, contact David K. at 360-200-2243.
