Battle Ground Public Schools is hosting a series of community presentations about the capital levy running on the Feb. 13 special election ballot. Voters will have a chance to ask questions of district leaders about the levy and why it’s being run.

If approved by voters, the three-year levy would fund upgrades to aging technology and infrastructure across the district. Collections would begin in 2025 at an estimated tax rate of 44 cents per $1,000 assessed property value.

A webinar will be held 6-7 p.m. Jan. 16. The link for the meeting is https://bit.ly/3RycKPm. The webinar will be recorded.

An in-person session will be 6-7 p.m. Jan. 25 in Room C-26 of the Lewisville campus, 406 N.W. Fifth Ave., Battle Ground.

For more information about the proposed capital levy and the upcoming presentations, visit the district’s website at www.battlegroundps.org/capital-levy.
