Highway 12 is closed at White Pass due to winds, blowing snow and fallen trees, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Eastbound traffic is stopped at milepost 138, seven miles east of Packwood. Westbound traffic is stopped at the summit, at milepost 151.

There is no estimated reopening time, WSDOT said.

The department posted on X about the closure at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, saying high winds and debris on the roadway were to blame.
