If you haven’t used MyAccount in a while or haven’t started at all, you’re missing out on features from Clark Public Utilities that can help you stay up to date on outage information, manage your utility account and get personalized energy management and conservation solutions.

MyAccount is an online customer service portal from Clark Public Utilities that organizes your account information and controls in one secure, easy-to-use location. Plus, it works on computers, smartphones or tablets. You can log in directly from the clarkpublicutilities.com homepage.

If things get a little confusing along the way — whether it’s at signup or navigating the portal — a Clark Public Utilities customer service representative is always available to help.

Customers can sign up for email and/or text notifications about power outages and service restorations, when a new bill is generated on your utility account, when a payment has been processed on your account and a reminder to make a payment. Also, if you’ve set up a payment arrangement with the Customer Service Department, you can sign up for a notification when a payment arrangement is due.

Budgeting for energy expenses can be hard when bills fluctuate from one month to the next, especially during extreme weather events. MyAccount can make monthly payments convenient and predictable with EqualPay and AutoPay. When the balance is due, MyAccount users can pay it off before most people can find a checkbook.

With EqualPay, the utility estimates your annual bill based on past energy use and divides that amount into equal monthly payments. EqualPay accounts are analyzed twice a year to ensure you’ll never pay for more than you use.

AutoPay allows you to set automatic payments and choose which day your payment will post and what card or account you prefer to use — no more writing checks and hunting for stamps or payment drop-offs.

Customers can go paperless and receive a digital bill in their inbox instead of their mailbox. But no need to worry, you won’t miss out on the important news and useful information in Currents, the utility’s monthly customer newsletter. You’ll get a digital version via email, plus access to a two-year archive on MyAccount.

Reducing energy waste is key to reducing energy expenses, but it can be difficult to know how or where to get started without clear, reliable data to start with. MyAccount offers users a look at their home’s long-term energy use month-to-month and year-to-year. That can help customers see how household and lifestyle changes and seasonal weather patterns influence a household’s consumption.

MyAccount also offers personalized tools to help guide households toward real solutions to save energy. The home energy calculators in MyAccount use your account information and basic details about the home to show its energy consumption and offer suggestions to reduce energy use and lower expenses.

Customers considering home solar can even use a solar payback calculator to see how long it may take them to break even on the cost of installing a home solar array, even after a federal tax credit.

If you haven’t tried MyAccount yet, try it today. You’ll be glad you did.
