LONGVIEW — A rockslide on Spirit Lake Memorial Highway early Thursday has been cleared.
Kelly Hanahan, a spokesperson with the Washington State Department of Transportation, said a landslide occurred at 5 a.m. east of Toutle, near North Fork Toutle River at milepost 17, closing the lanes in both directions.
The department reported on X, formally called Twitter, at about 10 a.m. saying the area was cleared.
Prior to the cleanup, Hanahan said the process would take “a couple of hours.”
