Raptors Road Report: Corvallis triumphs despite two home runs by Stransky

Recap: The Raptors jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a three-run home run by Justin Stransky and a solo shot by Richard Tejeda. … Stransky added a solo home run in the third inning to increase Ridgefield’s lead to 5-0. … Corvallis struck back with five runs in the fourth inning as Ty Tukumoto’s two-out, two-run single tied the game. … Peyton Miller put Corvallis ahead 6-5 with an RBI single in the sixth inning, then added an RBI single in the eighth to increase the gap to 8-5.

Raptors bats: Stransky (Fresno State) now has four home runs and 25 RBIs on the season. … Tejeda (USC) went 3 for 4 and extended his hitting streak to 10 games. … Jack Salmon (Golden West College) went 2 for 4 and has hit safely in seven of his last eight games.

Raptors arms: Wyatt Nichol (Pepperdine) got the start and threw three hitless innings, striking out one and walking two. … Camden Oram (Linfield) pitched four innings and allowed six runs, four of which were earned … Tito Santos (Texas A&M) pitched the final inning, allowing two runs on two base hits.

Up next: The Raptors (23-18) return home Thursday to conclude their three-game series against the Knights (31-10). First pitch is 6:35 p.m. at Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex.
