Dane Huddleston completed a dominant, wire-to-wire victory at the 67th Royal Oaks Invitational golf tournament on Sunday.

The Woodland High School graduate finished the three-day tournament at 9-under par, eight shots better than anyone else at Royal Oaks Country Club.

Huddleston shot an even-par 72 on Sunday and pocketed a $1,000 prize for first place. He wasn’t challenged for the lead since shooting 7-under 65 in the first round on Friday.

The Royal Oaks Invitational draws many of the top amateur golfers in the Northwest. Huddleston just completed his freshman season at Utah Valley, where he tied for seventh place at the Western Athletic Conference Championship and earned first-team all-conference honors.

Andy Robb of Vancouver, B.C., finished second finishes second at 1-under.

Mountain View High School grad Graham Moody finished eighth at 4-over. The Class 3A state champion in 2018 just completed his junior season for the University of Wisconsin.
