Letter: Palestinians are not innocent

Almost every newspaper article about the war in Gaza eventually gets around to casualty figures (never confirmed by an independent source) that supposedly comingles civilian and terrorist deaths. Of course, this is promoted to inflame smoldering antisemitism factions that, unfortunately, exist under the thin veneer of leftist political thought. By using human shields in hospitals, schools and refugee camps, Hamas guerrillas deliberately sacrifice civilian lives to distort Western sensibilities against Israeli defense operations.

Released hostages and IDF soldiers have confirmed that many of the captives were held in homes and apartments by Palestinian families, including those of doctors, teachers and U.N. employees. The parading of Oct. 7 victims through the cheering crowds of Gaza proves that although some of the residents might not be part of the death cult of Hamas, the population as a whole are antisemites and supporting of the slaughter of Jews. In this case, there are no innocent Palestinians, and their deaths are the price paid for this destructive ideology.
