A man accused of shooting a person over the weekend in the West 7th area of Fort Worth turned himself in Monday, police said.

About 10:15 p.m. Saturday, officers were notified of a shooting in the 2900 block of Crockett Street, just south of the intersection of Seventh Street and Currie Street, according to police.

Responding officers found a man, later identified as 29-year-old Bryson Rodgers, who had been shot. He later died at a medical facility, police said.

Police had said the gunman left the area after the shooting.

On Monday, Karlove Palmer, 29, turned himself into the Tarrant County jail, police said. As of 9 p.m., online jail records did not show his bail information. He is facing a murder charge.
