No surprise: President Joe Biden won the Democratic Party primary in both Clark County and Washington, while former President Donald Trump won among Republicans.

In Clark County, 96,716 voters cast ballots in the presidential primary for a 28.95 percent turnout, according to Clark County Elections’ tabulation at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Among Clark County voters, 50,516 cast ballots as Democrats, with 86.21 percent for Biden, 3.55 percent for Dean Phillips, 3.02 percent for Marianne Williamson and 6.1 percent uncommitted. All of Biden’s challengers except Williamson had already dropped out of the race.

In Clark County’s Republican primary, 46,061 cast ballots, with 74.97 percent voting for Trump. Although his opponents had already dropped out, Nikki Haley received 20.32 percent, with 2.31 percent for Ron DeSantis, 1 percent for Chris Christie and 0.87 percent for Vivek Ramaswamy.
