Vancouver Volcanoes beat Great Falls, improve to 4-1

The Vancouver Volcanoes improved to 4-1 on the season with a 127-120 win over The Great Falls Electric on Sunday at Hudson’s Bay High School.

Markus Golder scored a game-high 27 points, with Thomas Miles adding 25 points as the Volcanoes continued their best start yet in their third season as part of The Basketball League.

The first half was a back-and-forth game, with the Volcanoes leading 61-60 at halftime.

Vancouver caught fire in the third quarter, opening a 98-83 with one minute remaining.

The Volcanoes stretched their lead to 23 points early in the fourth quarter before Great Falls (1-2) cut the lead to 112-100 behind hot shooting from 3-point range.

Caleb Coleman came off the bench to score 16 points and grab eight rebounds for Vancouver.

The Volcanoes are back home at Hudson’s Bay High School on Friday at 7 p.m. when they will face the Emerald City Jaguars out of Eugene.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children.
