The Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council is hosting an online open house this month to hear from Clark County residents about improving street safety.

The open house is a part of the council’s Safe Streets and Roads for All Clark County Safety Action Plan.

Using data analysis and community input, the plan will help the council identify transportation-focused safety needs and improvements across Clark County. It will then use that information to apply for grant funding to improve safety where it is most needed, according to a news release.

The virtual open house is available through Saturday and can be found at www.rtc.wa.gov/studies/sap/.

Interested community members can fill out a survey on the virtual open house webpage or identify locations where safety improvements are needed within the virtual open house comment map.

Once the project team identifies safety strategies, a second virtual open house this summer will allow community members to provide input on those strategies.
