TV Q&A: When will ‘Deadliest Catch’ trawl airwaves?

You have questions. I have some answers.

I’m a “Deadliest Catch” fan but I am unable to find any information concerning the 2024 broadcast schedule. Can you find any information?

The 20th season of the Discovery Channel series will have a two-hour premiere on June 11. According to the network, “To kick-off this milestone season, the lucrative Red King Crab fishery has finally reopened in Alaska, igniting the first derby-style race in decades. Forced to obtain their crab hauls in a highly competitive timeframe, veteran and rookie captains are thrust into cutthroat rivalries that will push each crabber to their limit.” The season includes Jake Anderson, Sig Hansen, Keith Colburn, Wild Bill Wichrowski, Johnathan Hillstrand, Steve Harley Davidson, Jack Bunnell, Sophia “Bob” Nielsen, Jacob Hutchins and Rick Shelford.

I started watching “Quantum Leap” and “The Irrational” but have not seen them listed lately. Were they dropped?

The latest incarnation of “Quantum Leap” ended in February after two seasons. “The Irrational” has been picked up for a second season and is scheduled for Tuesdays in the fall on NBC.

You can find episodes of the recent “Quantum” and the original version with Scott Bakula and “The Irrational” on Peacock.

Can you tell me what are Hallmark’s plans for one of their best actors, Lacey Chabert? There appear to have been no new movies for this year.

While several stars have left Hallmark for competing service Great American Family, Chabert is still connected to the network.

The former “Mean Girls” and “Party of Five” star will add to her dozens of Hallmark movies later this year when her new movie “Christmas Quest” is part of Hallmark’s “Countdown to Christmas” lineup. Late next year she will also be hosting “Celebrations with Lacey Chabert” for the subscription streaming service Hallmark Movies Now; in that show “she surprises deserving kids, families and adults who are making a positive impact in their communities by throwing them the celebration of a lifetime.”

What happened to “Bull”?

“Bull” wrapped up in May 2022. But you will be seeing “Bull” star Michael Weatherly again — and as his “NCIS” character Tony DiNozzo. In addition to his appearance in the “NCIS” episode bidding farewell to David McCallum’s Ducky Mallard, Weatherly has signed up for an “NCIS” spinoff on Paramount+. According to the network, the new show will have Weatherly’s DiNozzo and Cote De Pablo’s Ziva David “raising their daughter, Tali, together. When Tony’s security company is attacked, they must go on the run across Europe, try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after.” Production starts this year.
