Letter: Golf course sale is questionable

I am feeling some strong déjà vu lately. Mr. Medvigy reports that the Clark County Council has decided, in an executive session (not open to the public or the media), to sell off the last remaining public golf course in the county. He states that when the council is ready to decide which developer will win this prime piece of property, they would “likely” make the final decision in a public meeting where comments would (might?) be taken from the public.

This is reminiscent of the lack of transparency that was the rule when the M&M boys were running the show, and it gives one pause to wonder about the possibility of corruption. Why is it that the council believes it is acceptable to sell off the commons with zero input from the citizenry who own it?

I do not play golf, but this whole decision smells badly. It seems at best ill-advised and at worst highly suspect, inappropriate and possibly illegal.
